from jb to endau/rompin

8 April – 9 April

1 Day 1 night stay at Mak Long’s was happening & exciting. As it was the first time for Aliff to go far from home although it only take about 3 hours of driving, me & Liz have prepared so many things for him, his medical, his walker and we thought of bringing the whole room if we could. (Impossible is Nothing)...

We left home as earlier around 8.30 am, and did our last preparation before heading to Endau… Fuel Tank Petrol: checked; Tyre Pump: checked; Junk Food: checked and the most important to me was 1 can of Power Root... he he

Trip to Endau began… me & Liz made sure Aliff feel comfortable along the way… playing 1 hour of his favorite tunes… songs that both of us could sing along to bring his mood and make him happy.

After about 2 hours of driving, we stopped at some sort like food court. We kena Teh-tarik & Aliff kena his milk…We continued our journey after the ½ hour rest and could not wait to arrive at Mak Long’s home.

Not forgotten, what i like driving on old highway with trees and tropical forest along the way was a group of monkeys will come out hoping and waiting for food to throw at them, by seeing them playing happily with each other somehow can make the journey more interesting.

Yeehaa… finally sampai... Mak Long, Pak Long, Mak De (Pak Long’s 2nd wife – believe it or not) & Awang happy sangat sangat sebab has been about 2 years tak balik Endau, and first time for Aliff. We arrived around lunchtime and Mak Long was about preparing lunch… Shiok habis dah lama tak makan masakan dia, & Liz was crazy over Mak Long’s sambal belacan & quietly asked for the secret ingredient.

After lunch, we all lepak outside bawah pokok with ABC & Cendol as dessert..Wah everyone was very busy talking including this little boy with his walker… maybe his enjoying kampong life… as usual, if duduk luar rumah kat kampong ada aje jiran yang singgah...

(As earlier planned from home, we are supposedly to go back home around 4 pm but somehow somewhere we discussed and decided we should overnight here… at least the trip was not tiring & rushing)

Night come too fast, rasa tak cukup belum sempat buat ape ape… makan malam, tengok TV kejap & lastly before sleep we ate our super burger that Awang bought. Still before tidur time, makcik makcik datang and shared gossips… also this May, Sally, anak Mak Long getting married. At last we finish our gossip at 1 am.. so sleeping time, we have planned early day tomorrow.

Woke up, sarapan, mandi, packing up… so lazy.. penat nye.. nak kena buat.. if we could we would want to stay here for few more days but too bad esok kerja…
Before left this kampong, I have taken few photos that we can see if we miss Endau… JOM balik JB…. I stopped at Endau pekan cowboy… i bought Satar(famous food here – ikan lenyek bungkus ngan daun pisang), limau, mangga & etc…




Journey back home was slow due heavy rain sampai tak nampak jalan, tapi akhirnya sampai jugak..
Me, Liz & especially Aliff enjoyed very much this trip although it was short..


However, wait for us…
Maklonggg.. Be prepared we coming again in MAY…. Insyaallah..
